NOTE In order to use the e-mail function in SOTA Image, you will need to have an installed desktop application such as Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird. If you use a web-based e-mail provider, such as Gmail or Yahoo, please reference our Exporting Images guide.
To e-mail images from SOTA Image, first, select the patient whose images you want to e-mail and select the E-mail button.
Open SOTA Image and click on the Settings button. |
Choose the exam with the images that will be sent via e-mail.
Here, you will have three options to choose from.
E-mail will allow you to select and export a single image. You'll see a border around the images selected for export. |

E-mail All will export every image in the exam as separate files to a folder. |
|
E-mail Exam will export the exam as a single image as you see it laid out on the screen. |
Once you choose the desired option, the images will be transferred to an e-mail template where you will need to fill out the recipient and any other information that needs to be included.
If you do not have an installed desktop application that you use for e-mail or it is not properly configured, you will receive the message below.
If you do receive the above message but know that you generally use an application such as Outlook or Thunderbird, we recommend contacting your system administrator or in-office IT team to assist in setting up this application and making sure it is configured properly.
