If you're going to be using a third-party device (sensor, camera, panoramic, etc) in SOTA Image, the first thing you will need to do is have what is called the TWAIN for the device installed. If you do not have the TWAIN software available to you, you will need to contact the device manufacturer and they will provide you with the installer or, oftentimes, they can remote into your computer and set it up for you. If the manufacturer does not have a TWAIN available for your device, unfortunately, there will be no way to integrate that device into SOTA Image.
Once the TWAIN is installed, SOTA Image will be able to automatically detect it and make the device available for you in the acquisition device drop-down menu when trying to take an image.
After you're able to choose the correct device from the list, you'll be able to test capturing an image. If you find that once capturing an image and view within SOTA Image that the images seem distorted or discolored, please reference our guide regarding this matter to resolve.
If you have any questions about any step of this process, we would love to assist you further. You can reach us by phone at 714.532.6100 extension 2 or by email at support@sotaimaging.zendesk.com.
